CISV
CISV International, a global organization promoting peace education across more than 60 countries, faced the challenge of managing vast volumes of operational data, reports, and internal documentation dispersed across teams and regions. This complexity made access to information slow and uneven, creating bottlenecks in decision-making and daily coordination. The project aimed to address a central question — how can artificial intelligence simplify, democratize, and optimize the daily operations of a large international organization — by developing secure, privacy-focused AI assistants that streamline knowledge access and enhance data-driven management.

To tackle this challenge, we designed and implemented two specialized AI assistants tailored to CISV International’s operational needs. The first assistant enables staff to query internal policies and procedures in natural language, instantly retrieving accurate answers that previously required time-consuming manual searches. The second assistant analyzes internal reports and data to identify patterns, accelerate evaluations, and support evidence-based decisions. Both were developed with a strong emphasis on data privacy and information security — ensuring that sensitive organizational knowledge remains protected while becoming more accessible to teams worldwide.
"Beyond accessing our data and documentation to streamline the way we work, maintaining the confidentiality of our data sets was an important factor for us in this process. The Lumen team ensured the necessary security when setting up the Assistants, which gave us full confidence in the proper protection of our information. We are exploring other areas where AI could be applied in our work, and the Lumen team has been incredibly valuable in offering their support with this. I could not recommend them more. It has been a pleasure working with them—very informative and professional throughout the entire process with CISV International. We look forward to collaborating with them on future AI capacity developments in our work."
Next projects.
